Anti-State Narrative or Local Dispute? The Truth Behind the Awaran Incident

 Date: May 27, 2025

Certain media outlets and social media platforms are circulating misleading and baseless claims regarding the unfortunate incident that occurred last night in the Malar Machhi area of Awaran, falsely implicating security forces in the matter. The relevant authorities have categorically denied all such allegations.

The truth is that the incident was the result of a clash between two rival local groups due to a personal dispute, in which two individuals — Ahmed Ali and Hoorak — lost their lives, and one elderly woman was injured. The security forces or any government institution had no direct or indirect involvement in the incident. Leveling accusations against any institution without evidence is a criminal offense under the law.

Immediately after the incident, the Levies Force arrived at the scene, assessed the situation, registered an FIR, and initiated an investigation. The process of identifying and arresting the culprits is ongoing in accordance with legal procedures.

Furthermore, the security agencies promptly provided medical assistance to the injured elderly woman and shifted her to the district hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment. Local residents have appreciated this timely intervention and expressed their gratitude.

The authorities have appealed to the public to rely on verified and credible sources for information rather than spreading unconfirmed reports, in order to prevent unnecessary fear and anxiety among the people.

The state remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens and continues to take all necessary actions within the framework of the law.
